Gutter Clearance
I use specialist, powerful gutter vacuums with high-reach carbon fibre poles from the safety of the ground to suck out all the moss, leaves, and general sludge that builds up over time. You’d be surprised at some of the things I’ve found in gutters over the years, everything from tennis balls to ketchup bottles!
It’s a vital job to keep your home protected from water damage. Blocked gutters can lead to leaks, overflowing rainwater, damp walls, and even structural issues if left long enough.
If it’s been a while since your gutters were last cleared it might be time to get them checked! I offer one-off, regular and annual maintenance visits depending on your needs.
Roof Cleaning & Moss Removal
Moss might seem harmless but it holds moisture, lifts tiles, blocks gutters and generally makes a mess of your roof. I tend to get a phone call when it starts falling onto driveways..
Left long enough, it can cause real damage to your roof and it doesn’t do your kerb appeal any favours either.
I have invested in specialist tools to fit every type of roof tile. These fit onto telescopic poles so I can work safely from my mobile scaffold tower. You won’t find me using a pressure washer and certainly won’t see me standing on your roof! Your gutters get a proper clear-out at the same time and all debris is removed and disposed of properly
There are strict rules about what you can put on a roof and rightly so. I’m Chester’s first City & Guilds accredited softwash technician and I only use licensed, professional products. I apply a treatment to kill off any remaining moss, algae and lichen and delay it coming back. When I’m finished everything is left clean and tidy but you should expect me to pop back to take some “after photos!”.
I’m proud of the results I achieve. I’ve restored roofs that hadn’t seen daylight in decades, including 60-year-old tiles where the owner thought replacement was the only option.
Fascia, Soffit & uPVC Cleaning
Fascias, soffits and uPVC often go unnoticed until they start turning green and dragging down the look of your entire property. I use extendable water-fed poles with purified water to clean every inch of your uPVC removing years of dirt, algae and weathering to instantly refresh your home’s exterior.
The transformation is stunning, improving kerb appeal and leaving your home looking cared for and well maintained. Estate agents frequently call me to prepare homes for photography and viewings because they know the difference this service makes. Restore your home’s brilliance and protect your investment!
Render Cleaning
Fresh render looks fantastic. Clean, crisp and modern. But give it a few years (or one good British winter) and suddenly it’s covered in algae, black streaks and all sorts of blotchy grime. North-facing walls and shaded spots usually get the worst of it and before long the house starts looking a bit tired even if it’s in perfect shape underneath.
But before you start Googling the cost of a full repaint, give me a call. As Chester’s first City & Guilds accredited softwash technician I’m trained in the safe and effective way to clean render without damaging the surface. I gently apply a professional treatment to kill the root and restore the colour, properly.
A few years ago I was asked to travel halfway across the country by a homeowner who’d heard of my work, loved their house and wanted someone with the right training and reputation to clean it properly. When you’ve got a beautiful property you don’t want someone blasting the walls with a pressure washer. I was called to do this as it’s the kind of job where technique, care and proper training make all the difference and the results really do speak for themselves. A smart, clean finish that helps your home look as good as it should, without the cost or hassle of repainting.
Drone Surveys
If you’ve got a problem up high but don’t fancy a game of “guess the damage” or climbing a ladder, a drone survey might just be the answer.
I carry out aerial inspections that give you a clear view of your property from the safety of the ground. It’s ideal for spotting things like cracked tiles, slipped ridge caps and whatever else might be lurking up top.
Drone surveys are included as part of some jobs but I also offer them as a standalone service. Perfect if you’re buying a property, investigating an issue or just want peace of mind that you’re not being quoted for work you don’t actually need.
You’ll get clear photos and I’ll talk you through what I find. No technical jargon, just honest advice, a proper look at what’s going on and a clever bit of kit doing the job safely and efficiently. It’s really useful and pretty fun to watch in action too!
Scaffold Tower Hire
Prices starting from £200!
Over the years, I’ve used more scaffold towers than I care to count and they’re not all built equal. Some are good but others are wobbly, awkward and require two people and six YouTube videos just to get them upright! That’s why I invested in the MiTower+ and honestly, I’ve yet to come across anything better. I use this tower for everything from roof cleaning to DIY. It’s solid, really easy to move and assemble, fits where bulkier towers won’t and has unique, innovative features. I’m PASMA-trained so I know what’s safe, what’s not and why having the right tower can make all the difference.
I’ve rented it out to homeowners and tradespeople for all sorts of jobs. If you’ve got a job at height or an awkward task where ladders don’t cut it, this is your answer. I’ll deliver it nice and compact in my trailer, show you how to set it up properly and collect it when you’re done. No fuss and no faff. It’s the tower I trust for my own work so I’m happy to recommend it for yours.
